Charter

Our objectives are:

  1. To advance the education of the public and encourage participation in lifelong learning by increasing public awareness of science;
  2. to promote the social education of students at the University of Sheffield in such ways as the Trustees think fit, including by:
    1. promoting and encouraging participation in voluntary charitable activities,
    2. promoting and encouraging awareness of barriers to education and means of overcoming such barriers;
  3. to promote and encourage participation in lifelong learning by people with disabilities and in particular those with Asperger’s syndrome/autism;
  4. to promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers from cancer through the provision of support, education and advice to individuals directly or through financial contributions to charities engaged in research and treatment of the disease;To promote and encourage participation in lifelong learning by people with disabilities and in particular those with Asperger’s syndrome/autism;
  5. to promote the wellbeing of young persons diagnosed with cancer through the provision of advice, support and resources specifically targeted at children and teenagers, directly or through financial contributions to charities engaged in such activities;
  6. to promote and encourage the participation of individuals and groups from all sectors of the community in raising funds for and awareness of medical research.
